Special Orders, Shipping & Exchanges
Special Orders
To allow our store to offer the most options as possible we partner with some of our key vendors to allow for Special Orders. Special Orders either ship directly from the vendor or they're shipped to us upon purchase and we ship directly to the customer.
Any items purchased from specific brands (listed below) OR have a special order variant are considered FINAL SALE and cannot be cancelled or exchanged for any reason per vendor policies.
Please allow additional shipping time (2-4 weeks) for any Special Orders. If your order contains BOTH in-stock and special order variants your order will ship complete unless additional shipping is paid to split the order and ship separately.
Special Order Vendors
Annie Selke, Dash & Albert, Pine Cone Hill, Julie Vos, Juliska, Oh My Mahjong, VIETRI, Bodrum, Mackenzie Childs, Casafina, Costa Nova, Mottahedeh, Estelle Colored Glass, John Robshaw, Banwood, and Simon Pearce.
How do I tell if it's a special order?
Most of the brands above will have 2-3 variant options. Single means IN-STOCK in our store and ready to ship. Anything sold in sets or via Special Order variant means it will need to be ordered from the vendor. Please note ALL Annie Selke, Dash & Albert and Pine Cone Hill products are considered SPECIAL ORDER/FINAL SALE.
Shipping & Exchanges
Orders are processed within 3-5 business days, Tuesday-Friday. Please note during our busy season, October-December and during any special sale events orders will take additional time to process. Processing means prepare for shipment & does NOT include the actual time of shipping transit.
Once items are prepared/processed for shipment, standard shipping in the continental US takes 2-7 business days in transit. Most items are shipped from Atlanta, Georgia.
In-store pick up is also available. Choose in-store pick up option at checkout and you'll receive an email once your oder is ready for pick up.
Order and Shipping Confirmation
Upon ordering you will receive 3 email confirmations: first when your order has been successfully placed, second when your order has been dropped off for shipment, and a final email when your order has been delivered. The shipping confirmation will include your order number, tracking number and ship date. When receiving your order confirmation please make sure your shipping address is correct as we are unable to redirect goods once they are on route to you. Orders that are returned to us because of address error will not be shipped back until the customer corrects their address and pays for additional shipping costs.
Shipping Costs
We currently ship in the continental US & Canada via UPS or USPS. All shipping options will populate at checkout.
Please note that additional shipping costs may incur for any items that are oversized and overweight. In this instance you'll receive an email and invoice for additional shipping costs. Once invoice is paid, your shipment will go out.
"Stolen" Packages
Currently we ship via USPS and UPS. We are not responsible for any items that go missing during transit or are misplaced upon delivery. We can require a signature for receipt of package, if you would like this please ensure that you email customerservice@waitingonmartha.com at the time of your order.
Cancellation Orders
Unfortunately you cannot cancel your order once it's been placed.
Exchange/Return & Damages Policy
Returns are available for STORE CREDIT (gift card) or PRODUCT EXCHANGE ONLY. Special Orders and certain brands (Dash & Albert, Pine Cone Hill, & Annie Selke) are not eligible for exchanges or returns and are considered FINAL SALE. (Please see below for products not eligible for return).
Returns/exchanges are accepted within 10 days of delivery or pick up date. (We do allow additional time during the Christmas season for NON-SEASONAL merchandise). Items must be returned unopened/unused and in their original packaging. To return an item, follow the directions below:
- Go to https://www.shopwaitingonmartha.com/pages/contact fill out box with name, email and request. Or email customerservice@waitingonmartha.com with your inquiry and to receive a RMA number.
- If the return is a result of error on our end, we will provide shipping label once customer service has responded to your inquiry. You will then be able to print a pre-paid UPS shipping label. Print the pre-paid shipping label, affix it to you package and take the package to a UPS drop-off location. Any other return labels will not be provided by Waiting On Martha.
- Returns/exchanges will NOT be accepted on any jewelry, skincare/beauty, fragrance, personalized items, furniture, plants, one of a kind art, personal hygiene items, or anything from the sale collection.
- Returning an item is at your own risk. You must ensure that the item is adequately packaged and, at your option and cost, insured. We are not liable for damage caused by inadequate packaging by you or if the item is damaged or lost while being returned to us. Items that are damaged when we receive them will not be eligible for refund.
For items that have been damaged in transit please email customerservice@waitingonmartha.com and include pictures of the damage, and pictures of the shipping box help as well. Once we receive your email, we'll determine next steps. Emails for damages MUST be received within 10 days of delivery date. Anything received later than that will not be eligible for exchange or refund.

Late Returns
Any item returned after 10 days from delivery date is not eligible for exchange/store credit. The only exception is holiday/Christmas orders that DO NOT include seasonal merchandise. Non-Seasonal items/orders placed in December will be accepted for exchange through the month of December.
Items Not Eligible for Return/Exchange
Please note that we do not accept returns from Dash & Albert, Annie Selke, Pine Cone Hill, ANY Special Orders, seasonal merchandise 2 weeks prior or after said holiday, art, rugs, plants, furniture, personal hygiene items, lighting, food, any personalized or custom-made products, final sale merchandise, or products that are specified as non-returnable in its description. Returns are not allowed on any SALE collection purchases.
Processing a Return/Exchange
A store credit or exchange will be issued once we have received your returned items. Any items that are damaged when we receive them are not eligible for exchange/store credit. Returns/exchanges do not include any shipping or handling charges, except in the case of faulty or damaged items. Your store credit will be issued and emailed upon return approval.
Sales & Promotions
We often have sales and promotions and understand your frustration if purchasing something full price that goes on sale the next day. Therefore, if purchase happened within 24 hours of a sale going live we will provide you a gift card for the difference. Please note sales and promotions can differ online and in store.
